Mary Ruth Maxted 1945-1979 a 70s girl born before her time!

This picture is synonymous with fashion in the 1970's Mary loved clothes she was at one time a assistant manageress in a boutique in Dorking Surrey. She did a lot of her shopping in America and brought back some lovely items of apparel. To use Pamela Green's words Mary was never knowingly overdressed but dressed or undressed this girl was the most lusted after model in the 1970's.

One day it will come to light just who Mary counted as lovers, one night stands and who she had affairs with.Robert Maxted her husband had indicated that his wife would expose her lovers however that was mentioned in the newspapers of the time, my research shows that this public exposure never took place.I wonder why ,could it be that the revelations would have brought shame upon the Government, the notary and the eminent after all Mary counted Sir Harold Wilson at that time British Prime minister as one of her conquests.

Mary had began to move in different circles towards the end of her life, she was seen in 1978 with the likes of Arthur Askey, Fiona Fullerton, Moira Lister, Linda Hayden, Jimmy Hill and Ed Stewpot Stewart promoting her charities, the PDSA amongst them.Mary was a true devotee to all charities loved animals and children despite having an abortion when at the top of her career...
